Millie Small has passed away

Just reposting this sad news:

Millicent Dolly May Small Commander of Distinction, more popularly known as Millie Small, was a Jamaican singer and songwriter, best known for her 1964 recording of "My Boy Lollipop", which reached number two in both the UK Singles Chart and the US Billboard Hot 100.

She was born October 6, 1946, in Clarendon, Jamaica.

She passed away today May 5, 2020, allegedly from a stroke

Some of her albums include: Time Will Tell &, Nightingale

As to her songs well, who could forget My Boy Lollipop and Sweet William. There was also the song Oh Henry.

Indelible legacy and sterling contribution to Jamaican music.

Walk good Millie. Walk good.
